Fun and catchy Pop-Punk is the best way to describe Toronto’s Streets To Ourselves. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Daniel Peachy, guitarist and vocalist Josh Jeffery, bassist and vocalist Sean Tardo, and drummer Jesse Formosa. In 2024 they released their sophomore album ‘The Truth Between Us’ produced by Sam Guaiana (Silverstein, Bearings, Like Pacific). They also recently released a new single ‘MNAA’ produced by Kyle Marchant (Arm’s Length, Suckerpunch, Rarity). Streets To Ourselves have been making a name for themselves on stages across Ontario with their energetic and passionate live performances.
The new single “MNAA” from Streets To Ourselves was released on September 19th. The single was produced by Kyle Marchant (Arm’s Length, Suckerpunch, Rarity) and mastered by Mike Kalajian (All Time Low, Neck Deep, Hot Mulligan).
Vocalist and Guitarist Daniel Peachy has this to say about the song, “In recent years I’ve been very disturbed to see how comfortable some people have become publicly displaying symbols of racism and prejudice. My interpretation of the phrase, ‘Make Nazis Afraid Again’ means that we as a society should be making it crystal clear that sharing and promoting opinions based on ideologies which are extremely hateful and discriminatory is completely unacceptable behaviour. And that by harshly discouraging these behaviours, said people will hopefully feel less comfortable openly identifying themselves as Nazis, fascists, and/or white supremacists.
Given the current climate I believe it’s worth mentioning that this song is not a call to encourage extreme violence or murder against those who we disagree with politically. There should absolutely be room for civilized discourse and debate within democracy. I would also like to clarify that I do not think everyone on the right side of the political spectrum is a Nazi. And finally I’d like to point out that if you do see a legit Nazi punk at a show or on the street, I wouldn’t be upset if you punched them in the face.”
