Biography
Streets To Ourselves is the solo project of singer/song-writer/multi-instrumentalist Daniel Peachy. This is the culmination of 25 years of experience as a musician, with more than 15 of those years spent as a composer and performer in 8 different bands. The goal of this project is to create honest and meaningful music that will reach as many people as possible.
Having lived both on the road and in recording studios, Peachy has performed all across Canada, as well as having independently released 6 EP’s and 3 full length studio albums with various groups and solo projects. He has studied under an assortment of guitar, piano, drum, vocal, and theory teachers. He also has experience as a studio session musician, band/tour manager, booking agent, and publicist.
Streets To Ourselves can be described as a modern take on Alternative and Pop Punk from the 1990’s and early 2000’s mixed with Rock and Progressive influences from the 1960’s and 70’s. Classical and acoustic elements are included as well. Another important component of this project is the inclusion of instrumental pieces of music.
Peachy composes and performs all instruments and vocals/lyrics himself on the Streets To Ourselves studio recordings. He currently performs live as a solo acoustic act, but plans to recruit a backing band in the future as well. The EP Pitch Correction was released in 2019, and the debut full length album Suspension Of Disbelief was released on November 12th 2020.
