Streets To Ourselves set to release new album “The Truth Between Us” produced by Sam Guaiana on October 25th

The upcoming sophomore album “The Truth Between Us” from Streets To Ourselves will be released on October 25th, 2024. The album was produced by Sam Guaiana (Silverstein, Between You & Me, Super American, Bearings) and mastered by Mike Kalajian (All Time Low, Neck Deep, Hot Mulligan, New Found Glory). Music videos from many of the album’s singles have received exclusive premieres from media outlets such as Dying Scene, V13, The Spill Magazine, and That’s Good Enough For Me.

Vocalist and Guitarist Daniel Peachy has this to say about the album, “This new record is actually a solo album and was recorded before I turned Streets To Ourselves into an actual band. I wrote all the songs and performed the vocals, guitars, and about half of the bass guitar. Producer Sam Guaiana played the other half of the bass parts, as well as contributing some vocals. And I hired an amazing session drummer named Kevin Lee. For the couple weeks that we were making this record we were a little three piece studio band, and it was an amazing experience to be working with such talented, hard working, and creative people.

“Something I really wanted to focus on was making sure this album sounded fun, for the most part anyways. At the same time as a lyricist, I didn’t shy away from writing about serious topics at times. There’s definitely a duality to the album, both dynamically and thematically. Some of the themes I touch on are love, heartbreak, perseverance, nostalgia, estrangement, politics, addiction, and death. The album’s title ‘The Truth Between Us’ comes from the idea that when two or more people are in a disagreement, that the truth is often found somewhere in between them.”

Biography

Fun and catchy Pop-Punk is the best way to describe Toronto’s Streets To Ourselves. Founding member and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Peachy started the project as a solo endeavor, releasing an EP followed by a Full-Length album on his own. In 2022 he recorded the forthcoming sophomore album “The Truth Between Us” with acclaimed producer Sam Guaiana (Silverstein, Between You & Me, Super American, Armor For Sleep, Bearings). The album was mastered by Grammy nominated mastering engineer Mike Kalajian (All Time Low, Neck Deep, Hot Mulligan, New Found Glory, Thrice).

As was always the plan, Peachy has recently turned the former solo project into a full-fledged band, recruiting bassist Sean Tardo and drummer Jesse Formosa, and most recently guitarist Josh Jeffery. Taking influence from early 2000’s Pop-Punk as well as the more modern crop of bands from the genre, the upcoming new album from Streets To Ourselves is an authentic, energetic, and passionate record that they hope will have a positive effect on listeners. Wasting no time, the band has already begun writing the third Streets To Ourselves album and can’t wait to share everything they have in store, both online and on stage.
